WELCOME TO OUR BLACK BEAR LODGE
We have spent many summers and winters vacationing in the valleys that hold Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sevierville. Finally, it is with deep pride and great pleasure that we have purchased our first property in the area, and we'd like to share the experience with you.
We hope you and your crew have a wonderful time in the cabin. Summers and winters in Tennessee have always been among the best vacations we've ever had. We hope your vacation at Our Black Bear Lodge is the same.
We have put a lot of love and labor into building and designing this cabin. This is truly our home away from home, and we hope it becomes yours, too.

THE PROPERTY
After the original property burned to the ground in the wildfires of 2016, John and Kathy Godar sold the property to Carlos and Marisela Echenique. The Echeniques have rebuilt Our Black Bear Lodge from the ground up adding their own flair.
Our Black Bear Lodge
Our Black Bear Lodge is a 4-bed 3-bath cabin nestled in the valleys adjacent of the Great Smoky Mountains. Before the current structure stoof the original Our Black Bear Lodge. Unfortunately, it burned down in the wildfires of 2016. The Godars sold this special property to us in 2017, the Echeniques, and we've been trying to rebuild it ever since.

We are excited to announce that as of 2021 we should be open for business. We are so excited to have guests of the previous Our Black Bear Lodge come stay with us. While it won't be the exact same home that everyone is used to, it is still the same property, same view and same town.
​
We recognize that the heart of Our Black Bear Lodge has been and always will be its guests. When we were initially offered the name and pre-existing brand, we were unsure as to why we would need it, but upon seeing the community of folks who love this property as much as we do, we knew we had to carry on the legacy.

The Echeniques are a tight-knit family of four from Miami, Florida. After spending many a summer and a winter in the Smokies, the Echeniques took a dive and bought a piece of land. It's been a wild journey ever since!
